It’s quite simple.
1. Check if your university accredited their degree with FRACTAI and if it has a fast track. You could be eligible for EPAI immediately on graduation if so.
2. Go to the accreditation page on the FRACTAI website and download the handbook. When ready, register on the accreditation page.
You will then be invited to make payment and complete the online competency form.
We have deliberately made our application form easy to complete and not time consuming.
There are five competencies:
1. Knowledge, understanding and application
2. Ethical Responsibility
3. Interpersonal Skills and communication
4. Critical Evaluation
5. Professionalism and standards
Read through the type of things we are looking for in the handbook and then provide a short examples (less than 800 words) on your chosen example. The example should be SMART.
This means give the problem or situation. Tell us what you did in the situation and why. Tell us the outcome and what value was added by you. Start your sentences with I, not we.
We examine the form holistically so we know your examples can span multiple competency boxes so we will ate that into caccount when we assess your form.
Complete the CPD record boxes. This is not chapter and verse its a brief skip through the types of activities you have been involved in over the last year and what you plan to do next year. For example you might have attended a webinar, an online course and been part of a committee. You might be planning to join a committee at FRACTAI, have input into international standards in our working groups and publish a short article in out journal. What we want to know here is how you keep yourself up to date in your skills and knowledge of your field.
Once you have done this attach your CV and any references and then submit.
We will get back to you within the month with an outcome. Should you need to need to re-jig your application we can give feedback and offer mentoring. We want you to succeed and will support you to do so.
