Argh the singularity is coming…..

Philosophers like Margaret Boden discuss the time where AI achieves consciousness and destroys the human race.

There are several problems with this

• General AI can never be created because humans are so complex we don’t even understand them enough and even if we did then the entire experience of every human would need to be put into the tech.
• AI can’t be conscious
• If AI can be conscious that downgrades the nature of what humans are  – they are machines
• Humans would need to allow AI to have decision making power over them – something that every single poll I have done has rejected
• Humans would have to give control to AI to lord over them
• Databases would have to be connected enabling oppression
• To solve all the horrible problems of war and climate change the clear solution is to take humans out of the equation
